About
I am a researcher working at the intersection of explainable AI, scientific reasoning, and biomedical NLP. My research focuses on uncertainty-aware and human-centered AI systems that support scientific understanding, evidence interaction, and reasoning in high-stakes domains such as public health and genomics.
I currently work at the Robert Koch Institute. I received my PhD in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Before joining the Robert Koch Institute, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Language Technology Group at the University of Hamburg and previously served as an assistant professor at Istanbul Kültür University.
